Hi, my name is Ola.
I like reading, especially non-fiction, and reportage. I also enjoy reading in different languages, and I often use language learning as an excuse (as if I needed one) to read children’s books. I am absolutely obsessed with Tove Jansson (in the picure above) and Moomins, and I regularly reread the Moomin books in different languages.
I love theoretical and applied linguistics. I also love learning new languages. I speak four languages to varying levels, and I have a passive knowledge of further three. I have an unexplainable affinity for Icelandic, which I can speak. Oh, and I can also read Old Norse sagas and some bits in Faroese…a bit random, I know.
I also enjoy learning new things. I learn by reading, doing online courses, and trying out new things. My interests may range from SQL, and fermenting foods to neurodiversity…a bit of a funny mix, I have to admit.
